About

David’s practice is multifaceted; sculptural, lighting design, utilization of analogue video and audio and performance art, often by encompassing less conventional techniques to produce works using vintage, obsolete and forgotten techniques and equipment  combining with new and evolving technologies. David has gained influences and skills from a background in technical theatre, lighting and set design and training in traditional skillsets and materials, together with being mentored by established and experienced artists and curators.

His work features many themes; examining the aspect of play and the unexpected, socio-political exploration, investigating mental illness, the psychology behind audience interaction and getting audience questioning their own, and others, morals and ethics.

As well as skills in technical management, electrical and electronic disciplines, design, lighting and construction, David has been involved in the production and curation of exhibitions ranging from galleries to social interactive arts projects; working collaboratively or individually as well as providing help, advice and enablement for other artists.
